30 Days of Thankful Prayer Day 24: Cleaning Up Our Mess

“Father, thank you for being the kind of God that we can come to when not everything is perfect. Well, let’s be honest, when everything is a complete mess. We can come to you begging, screaming, and pouring out our soul!

Today, let us follow the example of Hannah in the Bible who said, “I was pouring out my soul to the Lord.” (1 Samuel 15b). She had the guts to take her pity party and whining to the feet of the One that could actually do something about it. She desperately desired a son and through her tears begged God. God, let us be brave enough to POUR OUT OUR SOUL like Hannah and ask for the one thing that we desire more than anything else.

She prayed, “Oh Lord, Almighty if you will only look upon your servant’s misery and remember me and not forget your servant, but give her a ______, then I will give him (it) to the Lord for all the days of his life. – 1 Samuel 1:11”

“So I say to you, keep asking, and it will be given to you. Keep searching, and you will find. Keep knocking, and the door will be opened to you. 10 For everyone who asks receives, and the one who searches finds, and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.” ~ Luke 11:9-10 CSB”
